Completing surveys is for some people a source of income and it can be a great opportunity to earn money, if you know what sites/panels to use.
Today I will be talking about a survey panel called Survey Savvy that has been around for a number of years and claims to pay people for there thoughts and opinions.
If you are wondering whether or not Survey Savvy is legit then this review should help you and make a decision on whether it is worth using the site.
What Are They?:
SurveySavvy is a US-based survey panel that collects information on how members use the internet as well as offering the usual surveys.
The information they collect is then passed on to research companies which as far as I know off is then used for research purposes.
Survey Savvy is owned and operated by a market research company called Luth Research, LLC and have been around for over 40 years.
As well as paying members to download SurveySavvy on their devices they also give out surveys to their members. These surveys pay fairly well when you compare to other competitors in the GPT industry online.
Anyone aged 13+ is available to join SurveySavvy, but you will find you will have a better experience if you’re residing in the US.
This is because many of the surveys are aimed at US residents although I’m sure with the online surfing program and referral system it won’t make too much of a difference where you’re from.
When you get taken to the SurveySavvy homepage there is a box on the right-hand side where you will the sign-up button.
You can sign up either by using your own details or by signing in with your Facebook account.
The sign-up process takes around 5 minutes to complete.
it’s simple to complete but does require your mailing details which I know does put off certain people as that is personal information to give away to a random company.
There are a few sections to the sign up with the first section being the mailing details like I mentioned and the next section some demographic questions.
These consist of your education, income, race, etc.
This information you give here will be used so to match you with the relevant opportunities for you
Once this is complete you will then be presented with a page which is a general terms page that you will need to read and then accept the terms.
This basically rounds off the registration process, all that is left is to verify your email address by clicking on the link they send within the email.
There are three ways to make money with SurveySavvy and that consists of survey, referral program and finally there survey connect program all of which I will talk about in the next few minutes.
First off let’s talk about the surveys and SurveySavvy does offer surveys for you to make cash with.
The only problem is that there is a real lack of them. You can expect to receive a survey every so often maybe once or twice a week if you’re lucky.
This is an issue as while lots of people I see have left positive reviews with there surveys it does mean there isn’t too much earning potential.
So if you manage to fit the criteria for all the surveys, then that’s great for you. If not then it could be hard to earn any money using SurveySavvy.
Moving on to how much they pay and you can expect to receive around $1 or $2 a survey.
This is around the industry average and while some may argue that is cents for your time which it is, I have however seen survey sites that pay out worse than that.
All in all the surveys are a good way to earn money on Survey Savvy there just isn’t that many of them
So if you completed one survey then that would be more than enough to reach the threshold for payment.
As I mentioned earlier SurveySavvy as a feature that pays their members to browse the internet from any of their devices, this is called SavvyConnect.
For each device you connect to survey savvy you earn $5 a month. So lets say you connect 4 devices each month you will get $20, and also make $240 a year.
Undoubtedly the best way to earn money using SurveySavvy is by taking advantage of their 2 tier referral system.
This means that not only will you earn money for every survey a referral completes but also you will earn money from any surveys the referrals referrals make.
So technically a bit like CashCrates referral system there’s a lot of Earning Potential in this.
The final way to make money with Survey Savvy is through there sweepstake's and contests. They run different contests which include the Superstar and Jingle contest, where you can win cash prizes of $500 if you are chosen.
Contests revolve around Survey Savvy and you can see an example of someone who won the contest in the past below. (Warning: Slightly Cringy)
Unfortunately, there’s only one way you can receive a payout from SurveySavvy and that is through cheque.
Cheques are sent from the US so if you live in the states then thats perfect, if you don't they will send them abroad. These are also paid in USD
However by the looks of it they mail there cheques abroad to residents of other countries.
I can only guess though that the times for receiving a cheque would vary hugely on where you live. If you live in Australia then it could be some time before you receive a cheque from SurveySavvy
The payment system Survey Savvy does raise a number of questions however before I talk about something that raises concerns to let me talk about the positive aspect of it which is the no minimum threshold.
This means that if you complete a survey you will be able to get paid without needing to complete further ones in order.
This is a positive as pretty much every survey site out there as some kind of threshold you have to reach whether that is high or low in order for you to get paid.
Referral programs can sometimes be better then the actual surveys the panel as to offer, that is because they can offer a better long term opportunity for you to make money.
This referral program is a two-tier one which has more potential than your standard 1 tier one.
Here you can make money from your referrals and also their referrals. There are a few panels that offer tiered referral programs such as Cashcrate.
While you aren't getting paid to do nothing you are effectively getting money you wouldn't of got before with there Survey Savvy toolbar that you can install on to your browsers.
They pay $5 per device which is quite good and if you have a number of devices then this could be a nice little way for you to make money each month as its a recurring payout, that is if you keep it installed.
If you’re looking to make a decent income then it won’t be possible with Survey Savvys surveys as they don’t give out many invites and you can only expect to receive a few week.
As I talked about earlier they pay out $1 or $2 and if for example you get a few surveys a week (which seems to be the standard amount), you could maybe $10+ a month.
This is only best case scenario as some surveys may not be a good fit for you and therefore disqualify you, which will lower your earning potential greatly.
A familiar theme from the reviews was that anyone who wasn’t from UK was having issues with either withdrawing or making money on the site.
With most panels that are based in the US but support worldwide, the majority for opportunities are unfortunately going to be for US residents.
There are many reasons why, but the main reason is that the majority of market research panels are American which is why they are only looking for certain peoples thoughts.
A fairly big issue I found was that some members who had filed in payment hadn’t been paid.
This is something I see from time to time when reviewing survey panels as there are many out there that have issues when it comes to paying its members out.
There is nothing more frustrating than doing something then later realising that all that time went to waste because you weren’t paid out.
This is something I would be wary of as while there are many positive reviews there are nearly just as many negative ones as well.
This is another problem I found and again there are reviews popping up with cheques not going through.
This is an issue as the only way SurveySavvy pay is through cheque and since they support worldwide registrations then there are going to be some that may not receive them.
Some survey sites have various options such as Swagbucks who have gift cards to various stores as well as paying through PayPal.
It would be nice to see some more payment options on offer here as I’m sure more people would leave more positive reviews.
I don’t want to jump right in and say Survey Savvy is legit as there are just as many negative reviews as there are positive and for me, that is quite concerning.
I don’t want to be recommending any survey panels where you aren’t guaranteed to get paid, that isn’t good enough.
It also wouldn’t make much sense since there are a number of existing survey panels out there that do pay out.
I would much rather recommend to you survey panels I know (since I have been paid out using them my self) that will pay you every time.
SurveySavvy is for those looking to make a few extra dollars a month. You can’t sign up with the expectation of bringing in a good income in as it isn’t possible.
This goes for most survey sites out there as the earning potential for the industry is low, however, there are survey sites that pay out well and if you sign up for a number of them at the same time you can make money with all of them which will give you more opportunities to earn.
If you have come to this post hoping to find a way to earn a full-time income I would like to suggest one of my favourite ways to make money online. It consists of making a profitable website that will make you money each money.
I’d like to show you just how I make money with this method and how you can start from today however I have written a full detailed review which explains it better without me needing to repeat myself here.
