As you may be aware in this post ill be bringing you an American Consumer opinions surveys review. In this day and age you can get paid for completing all kinds of things and this includes simply giving your opinions on things.
Simple right? Well not exactly as not all companies are legit and will pay you fairly which his why I started up this site to review as many survey sites out there and show you which ones actually pay.
Now enough of that, your probably here to find out more about American Consumer Panel and whether exactly they are one of the legit sites and pay.
Rest assured this post will cover all you need to know about them including how the surveys pay and work and whether they are legit or a scam
What are they? A site that pays you to complete surveys
Worth It?: No
They are a survey panel that was first started up by a US market research company by the name of acop. The whole idea around the surveys is to collect and gather up information from you the consumer to help improve services and products.
If you have signed up to a survey site in the past then you will probably have a brief idea of how it works as American Consumer Opinion is similar to a lot of existing survey sites out.
Now if your thinking of signing up let me just quickly say that they don't have a exclusive panel and are open worldwide so anyone can sign up. The other one is you don't have to be an adult to join and anyone can join from 14 years and over up.
Signing up will take you a few minutes to do and includes you giving out some of your background information such as where you live, how old you are, and so forth. This information isn't sold on to third party companies but is instead used to send the relevant opportunities to you your way.
There are two opportunities available to you being their surveys and referral program which ill talk about later.
When you complete surveys you will be awarded a certain amount of points, now how much you get rewarded depends on how long the survey is.
For shorter surveys you can get paid up to 50 points, these pay low because they will take you between 10 and 20 minutes. They do have higher paying surveys but these take longer than 20 minutes but can pay anywhere between.
The points system works like this, one point is a cent ($0.01), so you can see that if you are to make money with this site it would be more worth your time to stick with the higher paying surveys.
As spending 20 minutes on a survey to receive a couple of cents is just not worth it.
Once you reach the minimum threshold of $10 (1000 points) you can then request a payout.
There are few different payout on offer which consist of a PayPal payment, Hyperwallet cash or you can use your points to enter a sweepstake.
Also what is a good touch by them is that they also have an option for you to use your earnings towards donating them to charity.
It's safe to say and also with the added extra that they are BBB credited that they are a legitimate company however with most companies out there its hard to not find any faults or complaints.
While reviewing this panel I found a few complaints along the way that ill go over now.
The first complaint is over the surveys, when you complete surveys you want to be paid well however with American Consumer Panel I found most of the surveys to pay under $1 and infact receiving a survey that rewards more than that was rare.
While $1 is not too bad, I did end up having surveys offered to me that were half that and if your going to spend up to 20 minutes in one, you really need re access whether it is worth it.
While looking around the reviews a familiar theme of complaint was that rewards took way longer than expected, some times many weeks more. This sucks, especially when there are existing reward and survey sites that pay out instantly now a days such as Rewardingways and Superpayme
For me having a referral program on a survey site is crucial to whether I use it or not, this is because if for some reason surveys dry up you can always keep making money through a passive income. With this panel however instead of receiving a one off commission or getting a share of all the points your referrals earn you receive an entry into the sweepstake.
For me this is a bit of a joke as you could invite 100 people to the site and not receive any bonus for it. Of course you have 100 entry's so you may have a good chance but its a bit of a gamble and whether you win depends on luck. I know some people use referral programs to make a full-time income, but imagine working a job where no one got paid but for every hour you worked you got an entry into a sweepstake aha.
American Consumer Panel Is legit however with all things considered I wouldn't regard them as a panel worth your time. There are so many areas that could be improved that would make this site much better such as the referral program and the survey opportunities.
However with that said there are much better existing sites that will pay you better for your opinion so if this a route your still interested in then check out this list of high paying survey sites to use in 2018
What do you think to American Consumer Panel? I'd love to hear what you guys have to say down in the comments section below 🙂
